Blog Post 8- Instagram Storyline Promotion

  1. I have had a personal Instagram account for a few years now, so I would say I have plenty of experience and background using the app and knowing the ins and outs of the processes. I have used Canva a couple of times to create flyers and ads for my high school journalism class, but that was several years ago, so it was a bit of a refresher using it for this assignment.
  2. In a couple of my posts I tried to use wording that I felt easily connected with by a wide variety of people, and also content that may rouse emotion in a caption reader. I chose the pictures I did, because they all pretained to my blog post, but were new pictures to prevent repetitiveness.
  3. Honestly the most challenging thing about this assignment was creating a new Instagram account, and trying to figure out why it wasn’t letting me post for a while. I think that this assignment was well put together and easy to understand and complete overall.
  4. What suprised me the most was how I had to actually think of unique and attention catching captions, that would urge readers to visit my blog, instead of just funny or meaningful captions about just a picture. It was more time consuming than I thought it would be.
  5. I could certainly use Instagram to promote FFA and my own professional barrel racing career, by posting hilights of runs and giving shoutouts to sponsors.
